About the Series

A National Portrait of a Hidden Crisis

Divided We Fall is a short film series exploring human trafficking through the eyes of the professionals on the front lines — the mandated reporters who encounter victims in the course of their everyday work, and whose awareness, instinct, and courage can change everything.

Each episode is set in a distinct American city, told from the perspective of a specific profession, and grounded in the real landscapes, communities, and systems where trafficking hides in plain sight. Together the episodes form a national portrait of a crisis that touches every city, every industry, and every community.

Story is how knowledge becomes action.

Phase 1
Profession-Focused Short Episodes — 20 Minutes Each

Each episode centers on a mandated reporter in a specific situation. The trafficking victim exists in the story, but we experience everything through the professional's eyes: what they notice, what they're uncertain about, what they decide to do. This aligns directly with the training and creates immediate educational value.

The Music

The Soundtrack Bears Witness

Each episode features a curated soundtrack of artists local to the city where it was filmed.

The music isn't just background — it bears witness. Every soundtrack is a collaborative effort rooted in the same communities the stories inhabit.

The Mission

Storytelling With
a Job to Do

Divided We Fall is the storytelling arm of We Are Louder's Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Training — training that teaches professionals what to look for and what to do when signs of trafficking present themselves.

The film series shows mandated reporters why their role matters: through characters they won't forget, in cities they know, set to music that stays with them long after the credits roll.

Knowledge is key to making a difference. Story is how knowledge becomes action.

The Need
27.6M
People affected by human trafficking worldwide.

It happens in hotels, hospitals, schools, rideshares, and detention facilities — in plain sight, every day.

The professionals who encounter victims most often are frequently the least prepared to recognize what they're seeing.

Divided We Fall changes that.
